Enan Chediak is a photojournalist from southern Illinois who earned his bachelor's degree at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  
He served as the Photo Editor at the Daily Egyptian, the 108-year-old student-run newspaper out of SIU, where he managed a staff of photographers, edited and laid out the paper and documented the southern Illinois community, with both writing and photography.  He also worked as a staff photographer at John A. Logan College for over a year, covering events for social media.  
Chediak is the first photographer to win the Rickert-Ziebold Award, a competition for graduating seniors at the SIU School of Art and Design for his self-portrait series Preacher Boy
He is also a 2025 Pulitzer fellow, working with photojournalist Lylee Gibbs on how research with low-glycemic rice could reduce rates of diabetes in a small village of Munches, Peru. 
He was also selected by the Daily Egyptian advisory board to take part in their coverage of the 2025 presidential inauguration and has been a featured guest on the 21st Show, Illinois' state-wide NPR news roundup. 
He also completed a16-Hour Domestic Hostile Environment First Aid Course (DHEFAT) and “Stop The Bleed” Course at SIU Carbondale, Illinois in Spring of 2025. 
He is a southern Illinois native who enjoys art, music and nature and enjoys being involved in the community and with the environment.
